T-SHIRTS 

We've done all the research so you don't have to! From ensuring Fair wages and organic content to printing with no chemicals - to having nearly 0% impact on the environment from production with renewable energy - our Tees have less impact. (or more if you look at social outcomes :-)) 

 

MADE WHERE BY WHO?

Our different lines of T-shirts have different certifications but you can trust that they are all ethically made, fair wage certified and ....Our current collection - Ltd Edition LIA are made in Bangladesh, Turkey, Australia and India. 

All T-Shirts comply with the requirement to be a member of the Fair Wear Foundation. 

Fair Wear Foundation 

Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) is an independent, nonprofit organisation that works with companies and factories to improve labour conditions for textile and garment workers.

FWF keeps track of the improvements made by the companies it works with. And through sharing expertise, social dialogue and strengthening industrial relations, FWF increases the effectiveness of the efforts made by companies.

GOTS

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain, including restricting the use of chemical substances and requiring compliance with social criteria.

OCS Blended

OCS Blended applies to all goods that contain a mix of organic cotton and any other material. Made with 50% organic cotton  certified by Control Union Certification CU 819434

OCS 100

The OCS 100 tracks the purchase, handling and use of 100% certified organic cotton fibres in yarns, fabrics and finished goods through the use of transaction certificates for factories that don’t yet comply to the GOTS standard. Made with 100% organic cotton  certified by Control Union  Certification CU 819434

In addition our men's and children's T-shirts also comply with the OEKO-TEX® (confidence in textiles) standards. 

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class II is a globally uniform testing and certification system applying to raw materials used in textiles, intermediate and end products, at all stages of production.

This certification covers multiple human-ecological attributes, including harmful substances which are prohibited or regulated by law, chemicals which are known to be harmful to health, but are not officially forbidden, and parameters which are included as a precautionary measure to safeguard health. Textile products may be certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 only if all components meet the required criteria without exception.

 

 

 

MADE OF WHAT MATERIAL?

5 of the 6 Tees are made from 100% Organic Cotton. 

1 of the Tees is made from a 50% Cotton/50% Tencyl blend. 

 

 

WHAT ABOUT PRINTING?

Our T-shirts are printed with Permaset Inks -   All of their inks are eco-friendly, water based, printed in Australia, do not contain PVC or phthalates and don't require chemical solvents to clean the printing screens after they’ve been used.
